Wood\u2019s Homes is seeking a dedicated Counsellor for our Cottage 3 program.

Cottage 3 is a permanent overnight program providing support to children, youth, and families. As a Counsellor, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a structured setting that fosters personal and social development for each client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and maintaining a structured setting that promotes personal and social development for each client.
  • Participating in supervisory meetings, team meetings, and training sessions to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Providing therapeutic support to children, youth, and families, including attendance at case conferences and involvement in intervention strategies.
  • Maintaining the upkeep of the living space and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Assisting with meal preparation, cleaning, and transportation of clients.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, or Social Work.
  • Minimum two to four years of experience in a related field.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience working with young people is preferred.
  • Class 5 driver\u2019s license and own transportation.
