Lead Faculty for Liberal Studies

We are seeking an exceptional faculty member to join our team at the School of Critical and Creative Studies at Alberta University of the Arts.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory and advanced courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in areas related to curricular need and expertise. They will also pursue an active scholarly research agenda, participate in university governance activities, and design and revise curriculum to address changes in the field and emerging opportunities.
Responsibilities- Teach a range of courses in Liberal Studies, including introductory and advanced topics
- Pursue an active scholarly research agenda with potential for publication and presentation
- Participate in departmental governance and contribute to the development of academic policies and procedures
- Design and revise curriculum to meet the changing needs of students and the academic community
- A terminal degree in a related field (PhD)
- Demonstrated experience teaching at the post-secondary level
- Evidence of an active scholarly or creative practice
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom and in all aspects of academic life
We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
