Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic leader to join our faculty as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Criminology, specializing in Critical Surveillance and Security Studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and publish refereed articles in top-tier journals
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in criminology, including methods and theory
  • Supervise graduate students and mentor junior faculty members
  • Participate in departmental and faculty-wide educational and administrative activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair
Requirements
  • PhD in Criminology, Sociology, Political Science, Human Geography, Communications, or a related field with specialization in surveillance and security
  • Excellent teaching and research skills, with a strong commitment to interdisciplinary approaches
  • Ability to teach in French at the time of hiring
  • Bilingualism is a requirement, with a strong commitment to promoting French language and culture
