Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of multi-platform and inter-functional systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of complex software applications and systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient software solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on technical leadership
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python, RUST, GO, Elixir, or Erlang
  • Experience with application and system design patterns, as well as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DevOps tools, such as GitHub, Jenkins, and UrbanCodeDeploy
  • Experience with public cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with distributed applications and microservices architecture
