Job Overview

At Royal Bank of Canada, we are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our Financial Services team. This role will provide critical support to various Finance and Audit (FIAT) applications, ensuring seamless operations and timely resolution of technical issues. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Business clients to understand priorities and impact of their issues, and provide timely and accurate status of critical systems processes to management and end-users.

Job Description

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating, resolving, and reporting on low and medium complexity technical issues. You will work with Business clients to understand their needs and provide timely and accurate status of critical systems processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in application support and/or development with a continuous improvement focus
  • A good understanding of statistics and trend analysis, strong Math skills
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly with Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. VBA knowledge is a definite asset
  • The ability to work under pressure and with aggressive deadlines, and at times work outside of normal Business hours
  • Strong analytical skills and strong communication skills, comfortable speaking with and working with senior staff

Location and Salary

This role is based in Bedford, Canada, and the estimated salary is $85,000 per year, based on the national average salary for a Technical Support Specialist in Canada.
