**Job Title:** Head Cook
**Job Summary:**
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Cook to join our Operations & Maintenance Department in La Ronge, SK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our kitchen, including food preparation, inventory management, and supervising kitchen staff.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and staff supervision.
- Develop and implement menus that promote healthy eating habits and traditional foods.
- Work with other staff members to harvest, plant, and grow fresh produce in our greenhouse.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and maintain a safe kitchen environment.
- Order food supplies, manage inventory, and optimize resource allocation.
- Track and manage food expenses, ensuring operations stay within budget.
- Work closely with staff to accommodate special diets and allergies.
**Requirements:**
- High School Diploma or equivalent job-specific training.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Head Cook and in a supervisory role.
- College credits or relevant training courses in Hospitality & Food Industry preferred.
- Ability to use computer efficiently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to speak/understand Cree Language an asset.
- Saskatchewan Safe Food Handling Certificate required.
- Class 5 Driver License and satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check, & SGI Driver Abstract required.
