Environmental Project Coordinator

The Administration portuaire de Québec is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Manager to join its team. As a key member of the Environment department, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing various environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Act as project manager for environmental projects, including preparation of calls for tender, selection of bidders, monitoring of costs and schedules, quality of deliverables, and supervision of work.
- Environmental Expertise: Support the Port Infrastructure and Maintenance departments in planning and implementing environmental measures for certain infrastructure projects, including soil management and the application of appropriate environmental impact mitigation measures.
- Project Evaluation: Evaluate projects on Port of Quebec territory under the Impact Assessment and Mitigation Process (IAMP) to determine the acceptability of projects proposed by the Infrastructure Department or by users of the port territory.
- Contaminated Soil Management: Plan, coordinate, and supervise the disposal, removal, monitoring, and traceability of contaminated soils and sediments with various subcontractors.
- Surface and Groundwater Quality Monitoring: Plan and coordinate the realization of various studies or programs for QPA's needs with external consultants.
- Environmental Monitoring: Be responsible for environmental monitoring of the territory in collaboration with environmental technicians and port users.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate in the continuous improvement of environmental management tools, notably in collaboration with the Port of Quebec's innovation team.
- Emergency Response: Act as environmental watchdog and respond to emergencies and complaints by coordinating the application of corrective measures related to his sector, alternating with team members.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills and ability to see projects through to completion.
- Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Environmental and Project Management Expertise: Environmental and project management expertise.
- Field Experience: Field experience in an industrial environment.
- Maritime Environment Knowledge: Knowledge of the maritime environment.
