Business Development and Partnerships Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development and Partnerships Associate to join our team at Assiniboine Park Conservancy. As a key member of our sales and partnership team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with corporate partners, and driving revenue growth.
About Assiniboine Park ConservancyAssiniboine Park Conservancy is the not-for-profit organization that oversees the operations of Assiniboine Park, one of Winnipeg's most prized treasures. Our mission is to create and deliver extraordinary experiences for the people who visit and use the park and zoo. We are committed to building friendly, supportive, effective relationships with stakeholders, community, and the general public.
Responsibilities- Support the growth and sales opportunities related to sponsorship and large group sales.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, outside sales calls, and other techniques.
- Manage APC's corporate volume ticket strategy by exceeding sales targets and soliciting new groups within Manitoba.
- Assist in the ideation and creation of new sponsorship assets.
- Manage and execute contractual sponsor benefits.
- Provide travel trade support to the Manager, Corporate Partnerships & Sales.
- Plan, organize, and execute familiarization tours and site visits.
- Represent APC at tradeshows.
- Meet and exceed APC's attraction volume ticket sales targets annually.
- Identify new customer segments, industries, products, and product presentation.
- Diploma in Business Administration, Hospitality, and Tourism Management or a related field.
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver's License and access to own transportation.
- Ability to travel across Canada and North America as required.
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, Word, and Publisher).
- Experience with Adobe software programs (InDesign, Photoshop).
- A minimum of 1 year of tourism and hospitality experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of sales and customer service experience.
