Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

Estimated Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Data Management Office, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management and governance of our organization's data assets.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and executing metadata processes across all data domains in scope. You will work closely with subject matter experts, business stakeholders, and other data management offices to ensure consistency in approach and adherence to internal processes and enterprise data standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update metadata in Collibra, working closely with subject matter experts and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other data management offices, data custodians, and data stewards to align metadata standards and best practices.
  • Develop knowledge and become a valuable team resource, supporting the execution of metadata practices in general.
  • Facilitate consistent adoption of metadata standards across the enterprise, demonstrating the value added by adoption of Collibra.
  • Assist with project work as required, such as regulatory deliverables.
  • Review and maintain the effectiveness of business processes related to metadata management.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years' experience in an operational environment.
  • Prior experience with enterprise metadata management platforms.
