We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Store Sales Associate to join our team at Dawson City General Store Ltd. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our customers have a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and provide assistance with purchases.
  • Store Maintenance: Restock shelves, clean the store, and maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Inventory Management: Count and record inventory, and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Point of Sale: Operate the cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Work Setting: Department store or supermarket/grocery store.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Fast-paced environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Work under pressure: Work under pressure to meet sales targets and customer demands.
  • Repetitive tasks: Perform repetitive tasks, such as restocking shelves and cleaning the store.
  • Handling heavy loads: Lift and move heavy loads, such as stock and equipment.
