About the Role

We are seeking an experienced National Franchise Sales Director to join our team at Pet Valu. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving wholesale sales results nationwide and ensuring that our Wholesale Sales Representatives meet their sales goals.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in driving revenue growth and managing high-profile accounts. You will lead and manage a national field sales team to achieve assigned sales and profit goals, build strong relationships with cross-functional departments, and foster a winning team culture.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a national field sales team to achieve assigned sales and profit goals.
  • Build, mentor, and develop the Wholesale Sales Representatives to ensure high performance and effective execution of sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising to develop and optimize a wholesale selling program.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master's an asset).
  • 5-10 years of experience in sales management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing wholesale operations.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading a national franchise-facing sales team of 10 or more, including in a hybrid environment.
  • A proven track record in driving revenue growth and managing high-profile accounts.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in start-up of wholesale distribution model, an asset. Fluent in French (verbal and written), an asset.

Salary Information

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time role with 75% travel required for franchise visits and business meetings.
