At Pet Valu, we are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Wholesale Sales Director to drive our wholesale sales nationwide. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to lead and manage a national field sales team, develop strategic plans to maximize revenue, and build a high-performance team focused on driving wholesale revenue and same-store sales.

About the Role:

  • Lead and manage a national field sales team to achieve assigned sales and profit goals.
  • Build, mentor, and develop the Wholesale Sales Representatives (WSR) to ensure high performance and effective execution of sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with WSRs to drive strong wholesale revenue growth.
  • Effectively manage departmental expenses within budget to ensure profitability.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales reports to senior leadership, including financial forecasts, volume projections, and post-activity evaluations.
  • Work collaboratively with Merchandising to develop and optimize a wholesale selling program.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Corporate, and Finance teams to develop and execute account-based plans aimed at cross-selling and upselling.
  • Provide training, coaching, and support to ensure the sales team is equipped to meet their targets and maximize productivity.

About You:

  • You have a proven track record in driving revenue growth and managing high-profile accounts.
  • You have experience managing large teams, with a focus on mentoring and coaching.
  • You possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze market conditions, competitive circumstances, and available data to develop appropriate sales solutions.
  • You have a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master's an asset).
