About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Health and Safety (HSE) Specialist to join our Canadian HSE Team in Edmonton, Alberta. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and administering Thermon's Canadian and Global HSE programs, as well as industry best practices.

Responsibilities
  • BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS: Foster credible relationships with key stakeholders through trust, consistency, collaboration, effective communication, and results-driven approaches.
  • HSE PRACTICES AND PROCESSES: Collaborate with the Canadian HSE Team to develop, implement, and administer Thermon Canada HSE practices and processes that align with Company goals, driving business growth.
  • HSE ISSUES RESOLUTION: Advocate and drive resolution of HSE issues and concerns, including internal investigations, corrective actions, and coaching.
  • CORE VALUES CHAMPIONSHIP: Champion and model Thermon's core values, engraining them into the company culture and psyche.
  • HSE SUPPORT: Provide full-service HSE support for Thermon's operations in Edmonton, Calgary, and Fort McMurray.
  • COR PROGRAM MAINTENANCE: Maintain and continuously improve Thermon's COR certified HSE program.
  • JOB HAZARD/RISK ASSESSMENTS: Assist with development and review of Job Hazard/Risk Assessments and Safe Work Practices.
  • SUPPORT MANAGEMENT: Support managers and supervisors in safe and early return-to-work of injured employees, managing WCB claims.
  • COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT: Manage online compliance sites, such as ISNetworld, Avetta, Complyworks, etc.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline, along with relevant experience.
  • CRSP designation or working towards it.
  • At least 5 years of direct experience in administration of Health and Safety programs.
