Job Description:

As a Health and Safety Officer at Central Protection Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and clients. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement effective health and safety plans, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and control budgets and expenditures.
  • Manage contracts and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Initiate enforcement procedures to fine or close establishments that fail to meet health and safety standards.
  • Analyze employee data and information to identify potential health and safety risks.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to promote health and safety awareness among employees.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Advise senior management on health and safety matters.
  • Respond to employee questions and complaints regarding health and safety.
  • Liaise with management, union officials, and HR consultants to promote a positive and safe working environment.
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures to resolve health and safety concerns.
  • Oversee payroll administration and ensure accurate payment of employees.
  • Recruit and hire staff to support the health and safety function.
  • Conduct performance reviews to ensure employees are meeting health and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Criminal record check.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
