Industrial Health and Safety Advisor

CEDA is a leading organization in the Edmonton region, dedicated to providing exceptional services in various industries. As an Industrial Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and clients.
Job SummaryThis is a full-time position that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in an industrial setting, with a proven track record of implementing and maintaining HSE programs.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing risk management support to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Liaising with clients, third parties, and internal stakeholders to promote awareness of HSE matters;
- Conducting accident and incident investigations, and developing corrective actions;
- Maintaining and updating HSE documentation, including policies, procedures, and training materials;
- Auditing and monitoring HSE performance, and identifying areas for improvement;
- Supporting site, shop, and project safety meetings by providing relevant information and actively participating.
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- 3-5 years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably in upstream or downstream oil industry;
- NCSO or OH&S certificate, and Certified Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) is an asset;
- Valid Class 5 license with no more than 5 demerits, and willingness to travel to various sites within the Edmonton region;
- Ability to provide a negative pre-employment alcohol and drug test;
- Strong leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and high attention to detail;
- Ability to work independently, with limited supervision, and thrive in high-pressure situations.
CEDA offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including:
- Monday - Friday shift, with opportunity to work overtime during peak turnaround seasons;
