The Role

An experienced Health and Safety Specialist is required to join our Canadian HSE Team, based out of Edmonton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Occupational Health and Safety, with experience in administering health and safety programs.

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders through trust, consistency, collaboration, effective communication, and results-driven approach.
  • Develop, implement, and administer Thermon Canada's HSE practices and processes, ensuring alignment with Company goals and industry best practices.
  • Advocate and drive for the resolution of HSE issues and concerns, including internal investigations, corrective actions, and coaching.
  • Champion and model our core values, engraining them into the culture and psyche of the organization.
  • Provide full-service HSE support for Thermon's operations in Edmonton, Calgary, and Fort McMurray.

This role involves working closely with multiple sites, managing HSE programs, and maintaining compliance with legislated requirements and industry standards.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English and proficiency in MS Office.

Maintenance of online compliance sites, such as ISNetworld and Avetta, is also an essential part of this role.

What You Bring To This Role
  • Undergraduate degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline, with CRSP designation or working towards it.
  • 5+ years of direct experience in administering health and safety programs, with a proven track record of driving positive change.
  • Experience with Certificate of Recognition (COR) program, with certified auditor status an asset.
  • Ability to travel to customer/project sites and Thermon facilities within Alberta.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
