Thermon is an Industrial Technology company that provides safe, reliable, and mission-critical industrial process heating solutions.

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Health and Safety Coordinator to join our Canadian HSE Team. This role will be based out of Edmonton, Alberta.

The successful candidate will have experience in administering health and safety programs, with a focus on policy development, implementation, and enforcement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain credible relationships with stakeholders through trust, consistency, collaboration, effective communication, and results.
  • Work with the Canadian HSE Team to develop, implement, and administer Thermon Canada HSE practices and processes, including policies aligned with Company goals.
  • Advocate for the resolution of HSE issues and concerns, including internal investigations, corrective actions, and coaching.
  • Champion and model core values, engraining them into the culture and psyche of the organization.
  • Provide full-service HSE support for Thermon's operations in Edmonton, Calgary, and Fort McMurray.
  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of COR certified HSE program.
  • Assist with the development and review of Job Hazard/Risk Assessments and Safe Work Practices.
  • Maintain all Company safety certifications and training, and applicable documentation and records.
  • Evaluation and management of sub-contractors.
  • Manage WCB claims and support managers and supervisors in the safe and early return to work of injured employees.
  • Management of online compliance sites such as ISNetworld, Avetta, Complyworks, etc.
  • Visit customer/project sites to ensure compliance to legislated and Thermon requirements.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline and experience.
  • CRSP designation or working towards.
  • 5 years of direct working experience in administration of Health and Safety programs.

What You Bring To This Role:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of Alberta Health and Safety legislation.
  • Knowledgeable in other provincial Health and Safety regulations (an asset).
  • Experience with Certificate of Recognition (COR) program (Certified auditor an asset).
  • Experience in managing HSE programs across multiple sites.
  • Verbal and written fluency in English.
  • Strong computer proficiency, with emphasis on MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Able to travel to customer/project sites and Thermon facilities (Alberta).
