About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Canadian Tire Squamish. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cashiers, grocery clerks, shelf stockers, retail salespersons, and sales clerks
    • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they are adequately trained
  • Store Operations
    • Authorize the return of merchandise and establish work schedules
    • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient stockroom operations
  • Customer Service and Sales
    • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
    • Sell merchandise and promote products to customers, meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing insights to inform business decisions
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Work in a fast-paced retail environment, with tight deadlines and a focus on attention to detail
    • Combine sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail sales or supervisory role
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
    • Accurate and organized, with a focus on attention to detail
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
