Network Support Specialist

BITPOS Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Network Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and performance of our computer networks.
About the RoleThis is a permanent position with a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate can expect to work 35 to 40 hours per week in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, troubleshoot and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
- Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
- Provide problem-solving services to network users.
- Implement data, software and hardware security procedures.
- Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records.
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet.
- Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance.
- Modify Web pages, applets and scripts.
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Relocation costs not covered by employer.
- Willingness to relocate.
