Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Community Support Worker to join our team at WJS Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote independence and well-being.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to clients, encouraging them to reach their full potential.
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, including household chores and meal preparation.
  • Model healthy relationships and boundaries, promoting positive behaviors and social skills.
  • Transport clients to appointments and participate in recreational activities, fostering a sense of community and connection.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in a relevant field, such as Child and Youth Care, Psychology, or Social Work.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with adults, children, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Valid BC Driver's Class 5 License and clean driver's abstract.
  • Positive behavior supports experience and Trauma-informed care an asset.
  • CPR/First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate (Mandt), and Conflict Resolution Certificate (or ability to obtain within probation period).
