Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team at the Academy of Learning Career College. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our accounting department, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Transactions: Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of equipment, including printers and copiers.
  • Work Scheduling: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of 11-15 people, providing guidance and support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
