Job Summary

The Regional Sales Manager, Retail Distribution role at BMO Financial Group is responsible for providing leadership and sales support to the retail distribution channel. This includes creating and managing relationships with the assigned region, providing ongoing sales support, and working with product delivery groups to establish requirements for sales tools and training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet annual growth and retention targets
  • Provide sales support to the assigned region, including identifying and providing product-specific training
  • Work with product delivery groups to establish requirements for sales tools and training
  • Build and maintain industry relations within the region, including attending local market functions and soliciting feedback from the retail channel
  • Assess the competitive environment and local industry relations to identify potential opportunities and threats
  • Contribute to the development of sales and service activities to achieve individual and team growth and retention targets

Requirements

  • Typically between 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial planning or branch management
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • IFIC or CSC certification, with PFP or CFP or CIM or FCSI or CFA certification an asset
  • In-depth knowledge of investment products and markets, sales strategies, and competitive marketplace trends
  • Ability to take in knowledge and resolve complex and ambiguous issues

Compensation

$64,600.00 - $119,700.00 per year, salaried position with potential for commission structure
