Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative will work closely with account managers to maintain business relationships with members and clients by providing sales support. Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing documentation following appointments with members and clients, including obtaining signatures and answering questions related to operations, account openings, and sales of products and services.
  • Assisting account managers in prioritizing weekly activities and planning follow-ups and solicitation activities.
  • Confirming planned transactions with members and clients as needed, and making courtesy calls upon request by account managers.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations to members and clients, and following up as needed.
  • Contributing to business development through various solicitation activities.
  • Building strong business relationships with members and clients by listening to their needs and ensuring full satisfaction, and keeping files up-to-date.
  • Ensuring files are complete and compliant with applicable deadlines and standards for quality.
  • Respecting all policies, practices, and standards for conducting transactions and operations securely.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Attestation of Collegial Studies
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Ability to create financial statements
  • Knowledge of products and services for businesses and those offered by caisses, components, and Desjardins distribution networks, as well as those of the competition
  • Ability to enter financial data in systems
  • Knowledge of financing and credit management practices related to businesses
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements for regulations on the distribution of financial products and services
  • Understanding of the philosophy and inner workings of a financial services cooperative
  • Knowledge of procedures associated with opening accounts and selling complementary products and services, including those associated with Accord D financing
  • Knowledge of Desjardins business processes
  • Knowledge of service standards
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
