Job Summary:
At Ideal Career Consulting, we are seeking an exceptional Master Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in creating made-to-measure garments, altering and repairing existing ones, as well as laying out, cutting, sewing, and pressing materials for both garments and hats. If you have a keen eye for detail and excellent manual dexterity, we encourage you to apply for this challenging role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate a range of sewing machines or sew by hand with precision and speed.
  • Select and modify commercial patterns to create unique and bespoke garments.
  • Mark, cut, and sew fabric with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Lay out, cut, sew, and press materials for hats, ensuring a high standard of quality.
  • Make, alter, or re-style fur garments and accessories, showcasing your expertise in working with different materials.
  • Fit, alter, and repair garments to perfection, ensuring a seamless fit for our clients.
  • Design and create made-to-measure garments, taking into account the specific needs and preferences of each client.


Work Environment:

  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential for this role.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with the ability to work for extended periods.
  • Physically demanding, requiring stamina and endurance.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and possess excellent hand-eye coordination.
