About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager at Vancity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive financial and relationship-based advice to grow and maintain assigned and unassigned members' portfolios.
  • Identify and assess member/prospect needs to provide appropriate products and services, including signature lending, secured lending, mortgages, and term deposits.
  • Recognize and make appropriate referrals to Vancity Specialized Teams to deliver comprehensive support to our members.
  • Meet targets as defined by objectives to contribute to profitability for the branch and Vancity.
  • Apply branch service standards, policies, procedures, and controls to meet compliance requirements and mitigate risk.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of Financial Planning Coursework, including Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning or Financial Planning 1 and the CUIC 210.
  • One year of member service experience in the financial industry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Banking and/or call center experience.
  • Lending experience.
Compensation

As a union role, the salary will be as per the collective agreement salary grid, starting at $30.25 (Grp 4 Step 1).
