Role Overview: Human Resources Coordinator – Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
Talent Acquisition Responsibilities:
- Leads full-cycle recruitment efforts, meeting performance targets and collaborating with hiring managers on job requirements and updating job descriptions/advertisements.
- Coordinates posting of job advertisements on public platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn) and works closely with the Marketing Team to update job postings on the company website.
- Screens resumes for all open positions and conducts first-round interviews for various roles at Lakeside.
- Organizes career fairs and information sessions at universities and colleges.
- Develops and updates procedure documents related to recruitment processes.
- Drives initiatives for continuous improvement in Recruitment and Onboarding processes.
- Assists with administrative tasks, including scheduling candidates, uploading resumes to the applicant tracking system, creating offer letters, following up with candidates on interview status, and staying updated on legislation changes.
Onboarding Program Responsibilities:
- Leverages the new hire onboarding process, acting as the primary point of contact for new employees on their first day.
- Meets with New Hires during their one-month follow-up to discuss their integration into Lakeside.
- coordinates the 'Onboarding Week' presentation series, which provides an overview of Lakeside's industry, structure, and operations for new employees.
- Provides suggestions for improving future Onboarding Week series.
Administrative Tasks:
- Maintains HR Inboxes.
- Takes meeting minutes for all HR Team Meetings.
- Creates surveys.
- Cookies meetings and events.
- Scans and photocopies documents.
- Filing documents into Employee Folders.
- Conducts research on topics as required to determine best practices and new methods for improving HR programs and initiatives.
- Supports other projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a University Degree in Human Resources or equivalent, along with 1-3 years of HR administrative support experience. Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PDF Exchange) is essential, as is professionalism and confidentiality. The ability to multitask and time manage effectively, coupled with well-developed communication skills (written and oral), is also crucial for success in this role.
