About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Student to join our team at the Department of Cyber Security and Digital Solutions (CSDS). As a Performance Analyst Student, you will play a critical role in supporting our team in building measurement into digital services, monitoring service requests, and analyzing data to drive continuous improvement in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and manipulate relevant data from digital and offline sources, including call center data, to support performance analysis and measurement.
  • Work with developers to overcome technical challenges in building measurement into digital services and identify delivery obstacles to improving performance measurements.
  • Provide recommendations for action based on user data in easily understandable and engaging ways.
  • Support the development of data/analytical strategy plans and policies, as well as support decisions made for implementation.
  • Collaborate with user researchers to combine the 'what' and 'why' of user behavior.
  • Communicate examples of best practice in digital performance management across government, contributing to the Service Design strategy and blogs.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university co-op program in Industrial Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of tools, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Desire to problem-solve and work with others to map out business processes and document workflows/use cases aiming to pinpoint improvements.
  • Excellent attention to detail, curiosity, drive for excellence, and interest in technology.
  • Knowledge of Systems & Processes and Operational Database Concepts.
  • Familiarity with web development technology, including HTML, JavaScript, and Django.
  • Knowledge of digital analytics and tag managing tooling.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools, including Tableau, Power BI, and Google Looker Studio.
