About Our Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Business Analyst to join our team at the Department of Advanced Education in Halifax. This exciting internship opportunity is perfect for students looking to gain practical experience and develop their skills in project management, policy analysis, and data analysis.

The successful candidate will work closely with subject matter experts within the department and external partners to address information gaps and support the overall management and advancement of our priorities.

Key responsibilities include coordinating the collection of feedback from multiple resources, supporting the management and advancement of projects and initiatives, conducting public policy research and critical analysis, analyzing statistics and data, and presenting the results of your work in reports, briefing notes, and presentations.

What We Are Looking For
  • You must be currently enrolled as a student, available for a work term starting in January 2025, and returning to school in the spring of 2025.
  • Proficient with computers, including office software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Previous knowledge or experience with project management, policy analysis, process improvement, and spreadsheets.
  • Able to think critically and solve complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in both independent and team-based work environments.
Salary and Benefits
