Senior Development Manager

DeafBlind Ontario Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Development Manager to lead our major gifts and foundation development efforts.
About the RoleThe Senior Development Manager will be responsible for leading, engaging, developing, and managing the Development team to achieve strategic objectives. This includes managing a portfolio of prospects and donors, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and overseeing the design and implementation of a robust donor acquisition strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Development team to achieve strategic objectives and build capacity.
- Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors to support strategic objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate partners, individual donors, and community prospects.
- Oversee the design and implementation of a robust donor acquisition strategy.
- Collaborate with the Development team and Communications teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Promote the values of DeafBlind Ontario Services within the workplace and in the community.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A university degree in business, communications, fundraising, or a related field.
- 6-10 years' experience in a leadership capacity with professional fundraising in the not-for-profit sector.
- A proven track record of fundraising success and an active network of philanthropic contacts.
- Working towards the CFRE designation is an asset.
