Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ward Clerk to join our team at Grace Hospital. As a key member of the healthcare team, this role will provide administrative support, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional patient care.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous patient care experience is preferred.
  • A complete high school education, meeting Manitoba standards, is required.
  • A recognized Unit Clerk training program is a must.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform clerical and receptionist duties as directed by the Clinical Manager, RN, RPN, and/or LPN.
  • Ensure adherence to the values, vision, goals, and objectives of the Region, facility, and unit.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Medical terminology knowledge (with a 75% pass mark) is required.
  • Typing/keyboarding skills of at least 40 wpm are necessary.
Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary range: $20.09, $20.69, $21.31, $21.95, $22.61, $23.29 per hour.

The selected candidate will also receive benefits relevant to their role within the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

  • Ability to function effectively in a stressful environment with frequent interruptions.

This role requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
