Job Overview

This role involves providing professional registered nursing services for patients with complex and unpredictable health needs. You will be responsible for administering prescribed medical treatments, leading the healthcare team, and coordinating patient care and discharge. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Requirements
  • A minimum of one year of current Post-Anesthesia (phase 2 of recovery) and surgical nursing experience.
  • Experience in outpatient surgery is required.
  • Endoscopy, Cystoscopy, Minor Locals, and ECT experience is preferred.
  • Satisfactory employment record is essential.
Education and Qualifications
  • A graduate degree from an approved Registered Nursing education program is required.
  • Certification in Conscious Sedation is also required.
Key Skills and Qualities
  • Strong knowledge of College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses and Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize care for individual patients or groups of patients.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
  • Adaptability to changing situations and ability to maintain concentration in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using computers, software programs, and applications such as Windows and Word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $46,389 per annum, based on the location and job requirements. The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension plan, health and dental insurance, and paid time off.
