About the Role

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Receptionist to join our team. As a key member of our front-line staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide reception services, including answering phones, taking information, and transferring calls to relevant staff members
  • Maintain accurate master appointment books for all staff
  • Screen clients, assess situations, and determine urgency levels
  • Provide routine information to clients and the general public, including appointments, phone numbers, and pamphlets
  • Perform typing and clerical services, including correspondence, assessments, consultation reports, and transcription
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma, completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant certificate, and one year of recent related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Ability to type 45 wpm
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

This is a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a dynamic setting and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client information.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is CAD $24.76 - $26.38 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional development.
