Hotel Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team at Colborne Street Limited Partnership. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel, ensuring that all aspects of the business run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures: Create and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel, including staff management, customer service, and financial management.
- Recruit and Hire Staff: Recruit, hire, and train staff to ensure that the hotel has the necessary personnel to meet the demands of the business.
- Supervise Staff: Supervise and manage staff to ensure that they are performing their duties to the highest standard.
- Conduct Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure that staff are meeting their performance targets.
- Negotiate with Suppliers: Negotiate with suppliers to ensure that the hotel is getting the best possible deals on materials and supplies.
- Conduct Training Sessions: Conduct training sessions to ensure that staff are up-to-date with the latest procedures and policies.
- Negotiate with Clients: Negotiate with clients to ensure that the hotel is meeting their needs and expectations.
- Perform Front Desk Duties: Perform front desk duties, including checking in and out guests, handling customer complaints, and responding to customer inquiries.
- Prepare Budgets and Monitor Revenues and Expenses: Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses to ensure that the hotel is operating within its financial means.
- Prepare Marketing Plans: Prepare marketing plans to ensure that the hotel is promoting itself effectively.
- Implement Marketing Activities: Implement marketing activities, including social media marketing, email marketing, and advertising.
- Arrange for and Oversee Maintenance Activities: Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities, including repairs and renovations.
- Enforce Policies and Procedures: Enforce policies and procedures to ensure that the hotel is operating in accordance with its policies and procedures.
- Address Customer Complaints: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist Clients/Guests with Special Needs: Assist clients/guests with special needs, including providing wheelchair accessibility and other accommodations.
- Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules to ensure that staff are working efficiently and effectively.
- Manage Events: Manage events, including weddings, conferences, and other special events.
- Organize and Maintain Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory, including supplies and equipment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as hospitality or business.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, such as hotel management or customer service.
- Certifications: First Aid Certificate.
- Language: English.
- Computer Skills: MS Word, PeopleSoft, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, Google Drive.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, attention to detail.
- Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, overtime required.
- Client Focus: Excellent client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, initiative.
