Regional Service Administration Manager

At SMS Equipment, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Regional Service Administration Manager to join our team. This is a key role within our organization, and the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, managing and reducing financial risks for the company in the service area of activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor service and maintenance contract expenses on a monthly basis.
  • Present recommendations to improve the sound management of service and maintenance contracts.
  • Review and standardize PDIs and certain machine modifications.
  • Support service departments in proposals for major renovations (mid-life).
  • Support and guide service departments in the execution of major renovations.
  • Take charge of files involving accidents and/or incidents (OEM).
  • Guide branches in managing insurance claims involving crashed machines.
  • Manage and plan the service truck fleet.
  • Support operations related to machine applications (SEST).
  • Comply with occupational health and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Additional qualifications include:
    • 5 to 10 years' experience in fleet and/or risk management.
    • Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic concepts.
    • Proficiency in Office Suite software.
    • Bilingual in French and English.
    • Experience in the application of heavy equipment would be an asset.
    • Good knowledge of accounting in relation to heavy equipment operations would be desirable.
    • Available to travel.
    • Ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively and maintain good interpersonal relations.
    • Demonstrate open-mindedness.
    • Demonstrate adaptability.
    • Respect deadlines.
    • Thoroughness and attention to detail.
