PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Proposals Specialist to join our team in Oakville, Ontario. As a Proposals Specialist, you will play a crucial role in creating compelling proposals that showcase our company's expertise and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate proposal visions into engaging layouts, incorporating strategic image selection and acquisition.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete proposal layouts and production, ensuring a professional and brand-compliant style.
  • Evaluate narratives for relevance, comprehension, and applicability, identifying narrative requirements and stakeholders to produce them.
  • Lead the proposal planning process, including review of client requirements, development of proposal responsibility matrices, and content outlines.
  • Proactively track and maintain communication and assignments among team members to ensure internal deadlines are met.
  • Influence and respond to proposal stakeholder expectations, coordinating their deliverables.
  • Accurately proof, edit, and reword text to deliver high-quality, compliant, error-free submissions on time.
  • Mentor proposal coordinators on proposal best practices and technical design layout skills.
  • Identify interview requirements and coordinate presentation and interview preparation.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent.
  • Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) foundation certification, Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification, and/or Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in a proposal role.
  • Ability to manage and write portions of various proposals.
  • Strong working knowledge of proposal fundamentals and best practices.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with a diverse group sensitively, tactfully, and diplomatically.
  • Ability to execute a lean, quality pursuit process and participate in strategy sessions.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of industry practices and new developments.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other relevant marketing software systems.
  • Advanced InDesign layout skills and competent functionality within Adobe Suite of programs.
