Electrical Process Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Process Specialist to join our team at Thermon Canada Inc.
A World leader in Process heating systems, we are currently experiencing rapid growth due to global expansion.
As an Electrical Process Specialist, you will be responsible for Engineered Products sales activities related to triaging and prioritizing incoming RFQs, conceptualization, sizing, costing, and proposal generation of industrial process heating and related equipment.
Your focus should be in electrical engineering, with experiences in mechanical and/or process engineering systems or have the capability and desire to self-train in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Review specifications and documents from request for quotations (RFQ's) of engineered systems involving electric heating and process systems.
- Develop conceptual design of engineered products and systems pertaining to RFQs.
- Develop cost estimates and prepare proposals based upon conceptual design of engineered systems and/or applications pertaining to RFQs.
- Evaluate processes and designs for proposed modifications, improvements, and alternate solutions as required by clients or internal departments.
- Conduct meetings with clients for technical clarifications and/or presentations pertaining to RFQs, current projects or general THS product offerings.
- Interface with other departments within the organization such as Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations to conceptualize designs and establish realistic delivery expectations when preparing proposals.
- University degree at bachelor's level as a minimum; Electrical Engineering degree or relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial process industry; Oil and gas, petrochemical, or power generation is desired.
- Working knowledge with ASME BPVC is necessary. Experience with one or more electrical product/equipment certification such as UL, CSA, IEC, and ATEX is desired. Experience with other international certification requirements such as SELO, KOSHA/KGS, and TR CU is an asset.
- Working knowledge with industrial electrical design, instrumentation, and controls.
- Working knowledge with hazardous location equipment certification is an asset.
