**About the Role**

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is seeking a highly skilled and motivated candidate to fill the Director, Indigenous Consultation position within the Indigenous Consultations Branch.

This leadership role requires strategic vision and exceptional communication skills to foster strong relationships with Indigenous communities and groups.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to the Department's relationships with Indigenous communities and groups.
  • Leading and directing Crown-Indigenous consultation and engagement activities both within Manitoba and with Indigenous communities and groups outside the province.
  • Building partnerships with Indigenous peoples, groups, and communities to advance truth and reconciliation goals.

As a member of the department's senior management team, the Director will lead and manage the Indigenous Consultation Branch, providing advice and support to executive leaders in support of consultation, engagement, and reconciliation efforts.

**Requirements**

  • Post-secondary degree at the Master's level or equivalent in Indigenous Studies, Public Administration, Environmental Studies, or Natural Resource Management.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Crown-Indigenous consultation and Indigenous relations.
  • Experience building relationships with Indigenous peoples, communities, and groups.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Ability to translate strategic priorities into operational plans.

**What We Offer**

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience. This includes opportunities for growth and development, a comprehensive benefits package, and a dynamic work environment.
