Job Title: Occupational Therapist II

Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist II to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist II, you will play a critical role in providing consultation and assessment services to children and adolescents with complex mental health issues and associated developmental, cognitive, and behavioral disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultation and assessment services to children and adolescents with complex mental health issues and associated developmental, cognitive, and behavioral disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to contribute to mental health assessments and provide clarity regarding DSM-V diagnoses.
  • Manage caseload effectively and work collaboratively with families and other professionals to formulate assessments, meaningful case plans, and facilitate referrals as requested.
  • Collaborate with families and community service providers to facilitate the most appropriate service plan.
  • Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, professional development, and program evaluation as required.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Brain Story Certification.
  • School-based experience.
  • Experience working with Neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Group experience.
  • Connect Attachment model training.
  • Facing Your Fears training.
