Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Workstar Framing Ltd. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping
    • Accurately maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
    • Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare and submit financial reports to management, including budget variances and financial analysis.
    • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making.
  • Tax Compliance
    • Prepare and submit tax returns, including GST and PST.
    • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • General Ledger Maintenance
    • Maintain and balance the general ledger, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    • Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College diploma or certificate in accounting or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 7 months of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Excel.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced office environment with a team of professionals.
