Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Health Care Aide to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care and support to patients in need.

About the Role:

As a Health Care Aide, you will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to provide personalized assistance with activities of daily living, personal care, and health-related tasks. You will be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary care team, collaborating with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide personal care, including toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance.
  • Support patients with health-related tasks, such as medication administration and vital sign monitoring.
  • Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and progress.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.
  • Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
  • Current BCLS-HCP certification issued by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC).
  • Medical Terminology course completion.

Salary and Benefits:

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as paid time off and professional development opportunities.
