Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Health Care Aide to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in an ambulatory setting.
About the Role
This is a dynamic opportunity for a motivated and compassionate individual to work as a collaborative member of our multi-disciplinary team, supporting patients with their activities of daily living and providing assistance with routine care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care and support patients with their daily needs, including hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety.
- Work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care.
- Assist with organized activities and programs, and observe and report on patient mood, health, and wellbeing.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Health Care Aide, preferably in an ambulatory care setting.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills, including use of email, Microsoft, and Connect Care.
- The ability to frequently lift, carry, pull, and push more than 50 pounds, stand and walk constantly, reach above shoulders, and move around rapidly throughout shift.
Preferred Qualifications
We also welcome recent experience in ambulatory care and knowledge of Alberta Health Services policies and practices in Hand Hygiene, Personal Protective Equipment, Linen and Laundry handling, Waste Management, and approved Infection Prevention and Control practices and responsibilities.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
