Estimator & Proposal Coordinator Job Description

**Job Summary:**

The Estimator & Proposal Coordinator plays a key role in the creation and delivery of estimates and project proposals to obtain new business opportunities. This is an intermediate role, requiring at least 4 years of directly relevant Engineering or Energy Sector experience.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Prepare multi-discipline estimates, including electrical, automation, instrumentation and controls, mechanical, and process engineering.
* Develop cost estimates in consultation with technical staff, using Catch forms and procedures.
* Evaluate proposal specifications and scope.
* Communicate with Project Managers, Engineers, and other technical staff to clarify project scope, risks, deliverables, assumptions, exceptions and exclusions.
* Write proposal documents and supporting materials that are clear, concise, and in compliance with client specifications.
* Update CRM with proposal details and status changes.

**Qualification Requirements:**

* A related post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate.
* 4+ years of experience in technical estimate and proposal development, with thorough knowledge of estimating processes and industry standards.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word and Excel.
* Familiarity with CRM and MS Project.
* Advanced technical writing skills.
* Proven skills in handling multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and managing competing priorities.
