Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet Parts and Services Coordinator to join our team at Norfolk County. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the inventory of parts and supplies, coordinating services, and ensuring the efficient operation of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Coordinate services with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and services.
  • Assist the Fleet Services Supervisor in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform light building housekeeping and grounds maintenance duties as required.
  • Research and analyze market trends to optimize procurement of materials and supplies.
  • Update and maintain WHMIS inventory system for the Fleet Department.
  • Assist in the development of various maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Refuel vehicles and equipment as required at County Fuel sites.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 plus a minimum two-year diploma or degree relative to the area of responsibility (Inventory Management, Automotive parts and Service, Motive Power, etc.) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience (preferably in a fleet maintenance or dealership environment).
  • Current Skilled Trades Ontario Certificate of Qualifications and certifications considered an asset.
  • G Class license mandatory.
  • Valid DZ or AZ driver's license is considered an asset.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to creatively find solutions to solve sourcing/supply issues.
  • Computer expertise in corporate standard software (Microsoft Office) and department specific software.
  • Purchasing authority as required according to Policy #'s EBS-02 and EBS-06.
  • Must be aware of safe work practices as they relate to job responsibilities and work environment.
