Network Lead Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Network Lead to join our team in Iqaluit, Nunavut. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience as a Network Administrator/Engineer, with expertise in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including Cisco and Palo Alto.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading complex network projects, managing wireless networks, and supporting Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, VLANs, routing protocols, and redundancy protocols.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with 3rd-party vendors. As an IT Network Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure and providing top-notch support to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex network projects from planning to execution
  • Manage wireless networks, including Cisco Meraki and HP Aruba
  • Support Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc.), and redundancy protocols (HSRP, VRRP)
  • Manage network security, including firewalls and VPNs
  • Troubleshoot network issues and resolve connectivity problems

We offer a competitive salary, estimated at $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus relocation assistance and accommodations provided.

This is a one-year contract with a strong possibility of extension. To be eligible, candidates must be authorized to work in Canada and hold active industry certifications, such as CCNP.
