Academic Leader in Nurse Practitioner Education

Athabasca University's Faculty of Health Disciplines invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Master of Nursing/Nurse Practitioner Program. This is a full-time position commencing in Winter 2025.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Learning: Develop, teach, and evaluate graduate-level courses in the Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Research and Scholarship: Establish and grow a sustained research program in a key strategic area, including securing research funding, disseminating research findings, and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Service to the Community: Contribute expertise to the work of groups and agencies serving the wider community and public.
- Hold a Doctorate in nursing and be eligible for registration as a licensed Nurse Practitioner in Alberta.
- Have three to five years of relevant academic and/or discipline-related experience, including leadership experience in overseeing graduate Nurse Practitioner course coordination.
- Demonstrate strong commitment to growing skills, continuous learning, and contributing across research and scholarship, teaching, and service.
- Be an innovative and reflective educator with experience in the online learning environment.
- Have demonstrable potential to develop a strategic, credible, and agile research program.
- Be able to lead and work respectfully and effectively as part of larger teams.
