Position Overview:

Reporting to the Program Director of the Nurse Practitioner Program, the Clinical Placement Coordinator will play a vital role within the placement team. Responsibilities include screening potential preceptors, addressing student inquiries regarding clinical placements, and securing placements for students enrolled in the Nurse Practitioner program.

Collaboration with team members is essential, as the coordinator will maintain professional relationships with preceptors post-agreement and manage a comprehensive database for tracking preceptor and clinical placement information. The coordinator will also verify student eligibility and course completion to ensure all prerequisite requirements are met before processing preceptor requests.

It is crucial for the Clinical Placement Coordinator to work closely with the Clinical Lead to promptly address any issues related to specific clinical placements. A solid foundation in clinical and nursing knowledge is necessary to assess the suitability of clinical placements, ensuring students achieve the Nurse Practitioner Entry-Level Competencies as established by CRNA.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and have at least two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.

Familiarity with the CRNA Entry-Level Competencies for Nurse Practitioners and related standards of practice is advantageous.

Exceptional computer and data management skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, BANNER, and ACCESS. Experience with clinical software such as HSPnet is a plus.
