Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Land Use team as a Land Use Specialist. This office-based role will focus on analyzing clients' planned forest harvest areas and working within our land management system to identify, request, and track land use agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze information sources such as harvest plan maps and spatial data to confirm expected land use agreements.
  • Identify harvest blocks, enter access/haul routes, review requirements for requesting agreements, and assemble request packages to disposition owners.
  • Work with software developers to conceptualize and implement improvements to internal processes and systems.
Requirements

To be successful in this position, you should have:

  • Post-secondary education in forestry, environmental science, geography, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in natural resource operations/planning and/or land use management/administration.
  • Working experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and associated files.
