About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at TRIO DRYWALL AND PAINT INC. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall installation and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install drywall sheets and secure them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Cut and fit drywall sheets to size and shape as needed.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to create a smooth finish.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation.
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets in various locations.
  • Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets.
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied.
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs as needed.
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms as required.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment and in various locations.
  • Commercial, residential, and various locations work settings.
  • Ability to work in employer's/client's home as required.
  • Ability to instruct apprentices as needed.
Work Environment

The work environment will be dusty, and the candidate will be required to work in various locations, including commercial, residential, and other settings.
