Job Summary

Chandi Renovations Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to create smooth surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to ensure precise fit and finish.
  • Apply joint compound to seams and joints, and smooth out excess compound to create a seamless finish.
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and fabricate suspended metal ceiling grids.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency and apply to walls and ceilings.
  • Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Estimate costs and materials for drywall installation projects.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel to install drywall sheets and perform other tasks.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy drywall sheets and equipment.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will be required to work in a variety of locations, including construction sites and warehouses. You will be exposed to dust, noise, and other environmental hazards. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
