About the Role

AESTHETIC PRO DRYWALL LTD. is seeking a skilled Drywall Hanger to join our team. As a Drywall Hanger, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Finishing: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation, including removing old adhesives and debris.
  • Plastering: Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a smooth surface.
  • Joint Taping: Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a seamless finish.
  • Scaffolding and Rigging: Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe access to work areas.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Certifications: Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, hand-eye coordination, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and walking.
Work Environment
  • Work Site Environment: At heights, dusty.
  • Work Setting: Commercial, residential, and various locations.
